Chrissie Chau Launch Lingerie Lines

For fashion lovers, take note that a new inner-wear line has just been released, and it is not just any inner-wear, for it is designed by Hong Kong actress-model Chrissie Chau in collaboration with a reputable inner-wear brand in China, according to Jayne Stars.
Known among the public as a famous spokesperson for renowned beauty houses, the 26-year-old actress had decided to cultivate that reputation and add the title of an entrepreneur to her resume by financing an amount worth seven-figures, about RMB8 mil (SG$1.6 mil), in order to launch her designer lingerie line from paper to the public.
Apart from designing, the Guangzhou-born Chau will also be modelling the pieces. The target market for the line are said to be teenagers from China and Hong Kong, seeing as it will be launched exclusively only in those countries.
When asked about her feelings on her new business, 27-year-old Chau asserted that she is confident that her new lingerie line would prove to be a money-maker for both her and the brand company. Starting prices for the items sold are reportedly RMB200 (SG$ 40) per piece, to numerous positive comments.
“It’s always been my dream to have my own business and start a lingerie line. A lingerie brand found out about this and immediately contacted me for a collaboration,” she said, and added that she hoped to share with her fans her secrets of a curvaceous body through her designs.

United Airlines faces FAA fine over drug testing

Federal regulators have proposed air safety fining American Airlines $ 584,375 for allegedly failing to properly perform drug tests on workers in safety sensitive areas.

The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday accused the company of 13 employees from transferring sensitive safety positions before receiving the results of their drug and alcohol testing.

The violations took place throughout the airline and the workers included in the equipment of the flight crew, maintenance and service, FAA spokesman Paul Turk of the said. United has 30 days to respond to the proposed enactment of the FAA.

The U.S. FAA also cited for allegedly failing to use a scientifically valid method to ensure that each member of the flight crew of the airline had an equal chance of being selected by a random drug and alcohol testing, said Turk. The agency said it had warned twice in the past about problems with the test procedure.

“Drug testing is a critical measure of safety requires that all operators should follow,” said FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt said in a statement.

In response to the ticket, United Airlines released a statement saying, “We are reviewing the letter and will cooperate fully with the FAA to address their concerns.”

Turk said that the penalty was substantial, but not among the highest issued by the body. In 2009, for example, the FAA fined U.S. Airways$ 5.4 million for the operation of several planes without inspections and maintenance.

States, which served about 54 million passengers in 2010, ranks as the fourth largest airline. Last October, its parent company, UAL Corp., merged with Continental Airlines Inc. According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, continental breakfast served around 43 million passengers last year, ranking sixth in the country.

The two companies are now part of the Chicago-based United Continental Holdings Inc., but continue to operate as separate companies. The airlines hope to get a single operating certificate from the FAA by the end of the year to complete the merger.

Nia Long Pregnant With Second Child!

One of our favorite Clutchettes, Nia Long, is expecting her second child later this year.

The actress, 40 years old, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ime Udoka pro basketball. Udoka, who is seven years of junior, is said to be excited about the birth of her first child.

Long, who has a son 10 years old from a previous relationship, told People magazine that the couple is elated by his new baby.

“This is the most exciting moment of our lives,” Udoka long and tell people in a statement. “Words can not explain how excited you are for the new addition to our family. We feel blessed and appreciate all the good wishes and prayers.”

Computer Outage Grounds United Airlines Travelers

A crowd of travelers were stranded at the United Airlines terminal at O’Hare International Airport on Friday due to an apparent interruption of check-in airline kiosks.

A spokesman for United Airlines confirmed a power outage was affecting the system airline reservation, but would not talk of delays or cancellations.

“UA experienced team cuts interrupting outputs, processing of the airport and reservations … working to resolve the problem,” the airline said in a tweet.

Los Angeles International Airport, the airline operations said there was an “equipment malfunction throughout the country.” Employees were checking in passengers manually, said LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castles.

An apparent storm hit the center of one of the largest cities in Massachusetts Wednesday morning, scattering debris, toppling trees, workers and terrifying residents. No injuries were reported immediately.
Thomas Walsh, spokesman for Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, told The Associated Press that he was looking out the window of entry habitat around 4:30 pm when he saw the funnel.
“I could ponder this mass of garbage floating mist on the strings of circular, cylindrical,” he said.
After the winds passed, Walsh said he could see about 10 big trees damaged in an alibi in downtown Springfield, a population of over 150,000 people. The other officials heard reports of damage credit section of the city’s South End, and emergency vehicles were heading there.

So, Boston also receives a bonus, or round sandwich pick for Martinez and Beltran. These come in at # 36 and # 40 respectively.

Some legitimately great prospects can be found in the sandwich round. Last year, the Red Sox selected Ranaudo Bryce Brentz and Antonio with their two sandwich picks, at # 36 and # 39 respectively. Sometimes players who fell in the first round due to a bad spring or collect bonus is significant demand in the sandwich round, due to the portfolio of Boston (and a group of explorers who have done an excellent job of Theo Epstein and Co.) are often collected by a team like the Red Sox.

Sandwich making does not always work, of course. The last time Boston had a couple of compensatory picks in the sandwich round before 2010 was in 2007 when elected Nick Hagadone and Ryan Dent. Hagadone was packaged in trade Victor Martinez – one could argue its good enough to be moved to that agreement was a victory – but Dent is 22 and has affected everyone in his five years .225/.306/.346 professional baseball.

The project is essentially a lottery. More entries to the Red Sox have to play, the better the chances are that he hit one of them. Which has four selections in the first round of this year given four chances to succeed when there are many teams that only have a chance, or perhaps even no chance. Nikki Reed Engaged To ‘Idol’ Star Paul McDonald

Twilight star Nikki Reed is engaged after an affair with American Idol hopeful Paul McDonald.

Wearing a ring on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, Reed told reporters the singer is “the one” and sources have confirmed to E! McDonald has proposed Online.com.

The couple was seen together in search of jewels in the Topanga-day festival last weekend in California, but Reed was not wearing his ring again in the event, which suggests McDonald, who reached the last eight of the season Idol recently proposed during the week.

The singer confirmed that Reed was dating in April, telling Access Hollywood that he was “super cool and supportive.”

McDonald said his girlfriend was quietly famous happy when it was eliminated Idol, saying: “She’s really pumped. She said, ‘Dude, you finally get to do their thing and be yourself and be the artist you are. “She is happy with the situation. She was more than cold for me.”

Plaxico Burress has the football family, then in his mind after nearly two years behind bars

Plaxico Burress plans to play in the NFL again, but before the former star of the New York Giants want to spend time with his family, including a daughter who was born during the two years he spent in jail on a charge of firearms.

“I just want to thank God for bringing me through one of the most difficult moments in my life,” Burress said to reporters after being released from Oneida Correctional Facility in downtown New York on Monday morning. “It’s a beautiful day. It’s a beautiful day to be reunited with my family. I want to go home and spend some quality time with them.”

He hugged and shook hands with his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, before going into a black Range Rover and heading for the airport in Rome, New York. Burress, 34, is expected to take a flight back to Florida to spend time with his wife and two children.

“He has learned a lot,” Rosenhaus said. “He knows that obviously made a mistake. Losing two seasons in the NFL in the prime of his career. To not be with his family, the most important. To lose out on millions and millions of dollars. These are the things that forced him to evaluate his life definitely. ”

Nine months after making the winning catch with 35 seconds remaining in Super Bowl XLII, Burress was accidentally shot in the thigh with an unlicensed gun he had hidden in the waistband of his pants in a Manhattan nightclub. He pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in August 2009 and was sentenced to two years in prison.
Now he is on probation for two years and need to find and maintain employment. His lawyer, Peter M. Frankel, Burress said plans to work pending the final of the NFL labor dispute.

“It will be a free agent,” Rosenhaus said. “There will be several teams interested in signing him. I hope to get a good contract. I hope that quite a play.”

Burress said: “As far as football is concerned, as long as everything is settled, when they return in the field, I’ll be ready.”
